i,m taking my 1980something huffy 26'' and making a ska themed bike, any suggestions  

keep it stock.
simply, clean it up and polish all existing chrome.
new coat of paint if needed.
match the seat with the hand grips, with the pedals.
accessories: add extra mirrors and rear rack is optional.

tip: take pictures of progress and completed shots.
